Dear Educational Retirement Act Plan Participants,
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, please accept our sincerest appreciation and gratitude to everyone involved in conquering adversity and helping to make this past school year a success and keeping our children safe. For those of you who are pursuing the next step in their career path by joining the ranks of the retired, welcome and thank you for your service and dedication in helping students young and old fulfill their educational goals. Your hard work and effort are greatly appreciated.
I would like to provide a brief update regarding the latest activities at the Educational Retirement Board (ERB) affecting our members. First, I am pleased to announce that the doors to our customer service locations in Santa Fe and Albuquerque are now open from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, where we welcome the opportunity to serve your retirement needs. Second, we recently concluded a Rapid Hire Event where we were able to select from a talented group of individuals to fill the ranks in several critical areas including refunds, payroll, and our call center. This is expected to soon result in the reduction of call wait times and increase our capacity for processing retirement estimates and applications. Lastly, I would like to mention that we have begun accepting applications for folks who are interested in Returning-to-Work after a 90-day layout following their retirement. Specifics on the subject are included under the RTW 36 months section of this newsletter.
In conclusion, I hope you are all successful in knocking out your summer projects, vacations, and other planned activities. At a minimum, may you all spend some time resting, relaxing and enjoying the longer days and warm weather.
